The next official OpenGUI SDK (0.8 Kunzite) is currently scheduled for release on January 1st. Release candidates will be released over December with weekly rebuilds for reported bugs as necessary. If you haven't been tracking OpenGUI's progress since 0.7.7, you will be surprised to find that Kunzite is a complete overhaul of the old code base. The new code is faster, lighter, more flexible, and redefines the entire GUI layout process to a system that people can easily understand. If you can't wait for the release candidates, the current code is available in the SVN repository. I recommend you use the /stable branch. The OpenGL renderer is already working, and the Ogre renderer is on the way. Those of you who are waiting for Ogre support to reach the Kunzite code base will want to watch this ticket for completion, which will mark the inclusion of the finalized Ogre renderer into the /stable branch. |
