With the recent release of OpenGUI version 0.7.5 and the new Ogre user base that came along with the inclusion of OgreFusion, I found it only fitting to replace the old and extremely bland website with a newer, more useful website. (You'll have to excuse the theme for now, I'm working on getting something a little more sane set up. Also, appologies to Sinbad of Ogre, as my header is obviously an unfunny rip off. Part of the process involved moving away from SourceForge's project web hosting, and OpenGUI is now being hosted on the Rightbracket company webserver. This is a fairly powerful server hosted in a professional datacenter. I don't expect that the OpenGUI website will create enough of a load to cause any performance or stability issues. OpenGUI is still using SourceForge for SVN hosting, and I don't anticipate ever moving away from that. However, OpenGUI will no longer be using SourceForge for any project management functions. That means that the Tasks List and Tracker have been disabled. I still plan on using SourceForge for hosting downloads, as I see no reason to burden this server with large amounts of download bandwidth when a perfectly good (and internationally mirrored) file host already exists. To replace the features of SourceForge I've set up a Trac server. Trac is a wiki and an issue tracker built together with native SVN support. This means that the wiki, tickets, and SVN changesets can all easily reference one another through TracLinks. |
